Fishing Information
Please note we are trolling only, no bottom fishing, jigging, or popping - Jigging is becoming popular and quite successful at times , but not successful enough to encourage our crew to do it !
we do have jigging gear now for offshore only jigging if required , we will not jig close to the reef inshore though ,
The charter normally fishes from 7am to 4pm (ish) when we go out, but we can move the start times at certain times of the year depending on sea conditions.
We are sorry to say we no longer do half days fishing, due to the rising cost of fuel and the fact that we cannot get to the fishing grounds for enough time to cover a good area to try to catch for you. even inshore for most of the year is not really enough time to cover good grounds .
The charter runs at 16,500 php per day if you stay with us. If you are staying somewhere else and want to fish with us the price is 18,500- php. but for pre advanced bookings for outside guests in the months of - March - April - May we will only take your booking nearer the time of your choice as these months we hold reservations for our guests that stay . This is for the boat - not per person - and will be for your exclusive use only. Who goes on the charter will be solely up to you, up to a max of 3 people. This includes all tackle, baits, fuel and crew, but no food or drinks.
Please note the boat is moored in the port of Pilar, we do run a service from the lodge there and back for 700 php, but if you are staying outside the lodge then you would need to find your own way there.
If you are not staying with us we will need a deposit of half the fee sent to us to hold your booking, once confirmed. This is non-refundable, unless it is our fault we cannot go out then we will refund. All deposits to be sent via Palawan Pawn Shop if in the Philippines and a copy of the transaction to be emailed to us so we can pick it up. If outside the Philippines then the deposit is to be sent via Western Union , OR MONEYGRAM or remitly .com .
NO EGGS OR BANANAS on board! It is bad luck.
Please note Sailfishbay owns all fish caught, you will be given a share of your catch along with our crew. You are not allowed to keep it all for yourself and take it back to your place of residence as we and the crew need to eat as well. Normally it is half each, so if you catch two they will keep one and the other will be bought back to the lodge to share with us. It is an incentive for them to fish harder for you, and our guys really do try, they do not like coming home empty handed. No fish no food!

Due to the on going war in Iran , the boat price per day is for now variable as fuel is forever fluctuating , for an up to date price please email us ,we are trying to keep the cost as low as possible ,hopefully once this war is over and fuel prices stabilize we can go back to our original price as stated , we are very sorry to inform you ,but we hope you understand the situation .

For those that want to know what we use fishing gear wise for big game then here is a little list of rods - reels and lures we carry and recommend if you want to buy when you go home or want to bring gear with you, I.E - Lures , line , hooks , quite few fishermen like to bring lures and hooks that work for them on there fishing grounds , and we love to try out new gear and see if it works here ,,all of the list provided has links to eBay where generally you can buy all your gear slightly cheaper than from major stores , we hope this helps - Tight lines

Lodging & Rooms
Sailfishbay has all types of rooms available for your comfort and pleasure. From one night’s rental to three months’ rental or more, we can cater for all of your personal needs whether you are a single traveller, group or family.
All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies, with daily housekeeping on request.
Please contact us if you intend for a long stay of one month or more for a lower rate.
IMPORTANT:
All rooms are based on two persons sleeping except the family room, which sleeps three.
Any extra person sleeping in the room will be charged 500 php per night.
The family air-con bedroom is on our top floor.
You can rent our air-con rooms with just the fans at a lower rate if you require extra fan rooms for your booking.
All beds are European sizes and not Filipino.

Transfer Services
We offer airport pickup at 1000 php one way to the lodge, please let us know if you will require this service.
We can also pick you up from all port entry points, again just let us know and we will arrange it with you.
We also offer a tricycle to the airport for 700 php, we do not do pickups though as the price is the same as trikes outside the airport.
